Seriously, agriculture is not a bad thing. We feed a good portion of the country.
The Midwest is not as crazy and densely populated as the coasts, but I find rural areas to be interesting and fun. I don't understand why some coastal people feel the need to bully people from the Midwest because they are from "fly over country".

Again, falling into generalization..
It's not possible that every person in the coasts thrashes the MW
And didn't you at one point were keen to less than love the MW?

I don't hate the Midwest, which disproves your premised assertion in this question of "everyone" hating it. Those that do probably do so for the same reason someone from the Midwest would hate and bully someone not from the Midwest, which I'm sure has happened. Lots of people believe in provincialism, it is human nature.

People from the Midwest often believe that the entire country hates the Midwest. That's why I said "everyone".
•
I personally have never met a person who hates the midwest. Most people I know are indifferent to it. Hate and indifference are two vastly different emotions.

Personnaly, I hate the Midwest. Just thinking about it spoils my day. :p
•
Well strike my personal experiences all to hell. Now I know someone who hates the midwest.

Having lived in the Midwest for the vast majority of my life I am less than thrilled by much of it, but hate is a very strong word. I mostly dislike the blatant homophobia that is prevalent in many areas, but other areas are alright.
