^ Ive seen that, i like the cinematography and the twist. You will be interpreting it in a lot of ways
For me - Memento, Se7en and Trance. I am into psych-related stuffs since its my major. All three are very weird

Stanley Kubrick films are fantastic, I particularly liked his job on a clockwork orange, though 2001 comes up close.
Donny Darko has always been good, despite its lackluster performance in the cinemas.
as for "WAT!?" would probably be smokin' aces, I think that was the one. Just watching the randomness in the background, like the director was putting random crap everywhere for the viewer to just ask if they are watching a genuine movie.
I prefer books though. Started on farenhiet 451 today, however I love dystopia even if its teen lit (insurgent/divergent by roth were great etc). Still have yet to read a dystopian book that beats 1984 by Orwell in my brain though, I finished it in less than a day as a 15 year old as an English class assignment.

Well, a lot of movies by Takashi Miike fit your criteria, mainly Audition and Gozu.

I know it's cliche, but I found inception to be pretty surprising.

Come and see (mindblowing)
Eraserhead (not good, just plain weird)
Frankensteins army (freaky cool)
