I learned about Diels-Alder reactions, out of necesity for a paper due tomorrow. I skipped the classes that explained it last week. I was always more fond of self-study than attending lectures though.

I learned today that no matter how bad you screwed up, people can forgive you. Over the past weekend, I went to visit my friends in Ottawa, and I was on Grindr and my ex from 6 years ago was on... he was my first guy I had been seriously dating...

We ended up messaging each other, and I went to his place to hang out. It turns out he was asking for forgiveness over what he did to me when he ended the relationship. We ended up forgiving each other and it put things into perspective a bit for me.

If someone else can forgive me for what I did to them, shouldnt I be able to forgive myself?

I feel like this was something I needed to learn, that I can forgive myself and I was reminded that in relationships, it takes two to screw it up.

(I also stayed the night for cuddles and other things... Wink )

I hope this helps me with forgiving myself, and moving on from the mistakes I done in the past Smile

I know, it feels like I learned a lot today .

I learned that not everybody is a greedy bastard.

My friends parents filled up my truck with gas today.

I re-learned and remembered that carburetor cleaner on open wounds burns like a mofu. I also learned that when you drop a socket into an engine bay, it will stop falling in the most inaccessible area between the engine and transmission.

I learned that there are some really incredible people on this website...not that I didn't know that before. Smile

I learned that amongst the things I've been hauling around is a box of wedding invitations to my sisters wedding in 1969. Further, that if my mother had sent all the invitations she had, we would have had to move the ceremony to a stadium so that the guests would have seating. As it was, there were over 2,500 and my father never referred to it as a wedding but the pageant. Must have worked, 45 years later they're still married, the only ones of their entire group of friends at that time to remain with each other.
