I read the Spelt information. That is interesting.
Got to learn something new today!!!!!
That stuff probably costs a LOT of money over here. Usually those "gourmet" flours are very expensive.
Would love to try some though!!!

When I tried it for the first time I was won over completey and it's rare these days for me to use anything else.

I have tried a batch or 2 of my own bread...
Let's say you need to pick up on the fact I stopped at 2

I have a bread machine but it tried to kill me and also it doesn't bake well... I only ever use it to knead.
As for bread, I'll not usually bake just a normal loaf of bread, because I'm not too big on bread.
I do make chapati/roti/tortillas alot, and it's easy to do just with some wholemeal flour.
Other than that, I love baking brioche bread.
Sometimes I'll make wholemeal ciabatta which will always be just leftover pizza dough.

Thank you Krzysztof. It does look OK but unfortunately it doesn't taste as good as it looks. As I said, I bought some very ordinary wholemeal flour from a local supermarket and it's nowhere near as good as spelt flour.

If you like that extra "yeasty" taste like I do, you can use beer in any bread recipe, it gives it a much better flavor.
There are also different kinds of yeast you can use, that will help with the taste. You can also use flavorings in the bread, such as butter, pecan, walnut, or sunflower seed. You can also put herbs in it.
You can make your own flavorings too. Example:
In a food processor, purree pecans, olive oil, and and garlic. Just enough oil to make it pliable and wont dry out. Puree till smooth. Put one tablespoon in one loaf mixture of bread. The rest can be put in an airtight container and put in the fridge.
The pecans give it a slight extra nutty flavor, and the garlic.....well, I like garlic. But you get the idea.

Thanks Tinks. I already use sunflower, pumkin and linen seeds as well as olive oil in my bread. I don't use and dairy produce at all in anything.
