Do you complain about bad food ?

If it happens, I leave the plate as is and when they ask if I enjoyed my meal I usually say it wasn't my cup of tea.. I'm not a person who will complain out loud. I'm too scared to do that haha

If/When I hit such a circumstance I would like to think I would be polite about the matter.

I don't dine out often - and when I have when I have been served something I disagree with it has been because I tried something new and discovered I didn't like it. The problem was me, not the cook.

Like I said, I hardly eat out anymore, but I remember years ago when
I ate at McDanks I found a curly hair in my chicken nuggets.

Yum.

YES!

In mcdonalds about two years ago, i remember it was a "big tasty" lol and i pulled a hair out and it just kept coming and a member of staff ACTUALLY saw me do it (cis this hair was so long) and she was profusely sorry and i got a refund and another meal, i didnt even say anything…

It depends. If the food is just disappointing I'll not go back to the restaurant... as the it's more of the quality of the food than anything else.

If it's prepared incorrectly, not cooked, hairs in food, etc. etc., I'll ask for a replacement or even a discount if I'm at an actual restaurant.

I've only ever had one serious problem at a restaurant. A server spilled hot gravy onto my brother, and the manager tried to say "all of our gravy is brought out at room temperature", and I called bullshit because some of it landed on my foot and burnt me through my shoe. Most restaurants seem to take pride in their food thankfully..

I've never complained about my food and I'm absolutely mortified when someone I'm eating with does. I just want to apologize to the waiter, grovel at his feet and sob "I know you all work so hard... I'm so sorry he/she isn't appreciative!"

There's a fine line between complaining about your food and sounding like some obnoxious snob. If it's really bad, where there's maybe a large obvious hair or some weird looking thing in it, then yeah, I'll complain about it. But if it tastes a little funny and I'm still able to eat it, then I'll leave at that.

I totally agree, and if something happens, even to me, I try to deal and be polite.

I used to work in a restaurant in a rich part of London, with very good chefs etc, and when I've heard a (rare) complain about the food I was like "Are u kidding??? There's something wrong with your taste..." I mean, the chefs are not perfect etc but c'mon...

I can't think of one time that I've had to return food for a problem.

Nope..

I dont even complain even if sometimes i get the wrong order

But it really depends on the severity, if it's really gross (like if there is a cockroach or weird insect there), i might not ignore it because it might happen to others as well..but nothing like that happened to me yet. And if ever it happens i wont shout at them or make a scene. I will say it courteously
