Im hairy and love hairy men but I do shave certain areas. I do not shave my arms or legs just because I don't mind hair there. However I do shave my chest, pits, crotch, and ass just because for intimacy I like that area to be very well kept on myself or my man, in my opinion weight is no issue it just depends how you feel and what will make you more comfortable. Keep in mind that when it grows back the first few time it itches like crazy.

I like guys with a little scruff. In other words, a nice groomed man

Either way looks fine.
I imagine at one time, hairless males were unnatural and odd. I remember hairy chests were like a badge of honor?
Now just as many shave as don't shave. So do exactly what it is you want. Both look nice, in different ways.
From a personal point of view, I'm allergic to stubble (including my own), and get hives from it. I'm in fact allergic to all fur and hair, very mildly, despite being a pet person. Or it could be because of constant exposure and resulting hypersensitivity... err... But on point though... I prefer, because of this, either someone who is hairy or smooth, without that awkward inbetween. So I like either 'extreme'.
From an objective point of view, no one is really going to care I don't think. Some guys don't even grow hair, and no one looks at them funny. Be a little observant next time you're at the beach and go swimming, half the guys obviously shave their body hair because you can see that many people will have no arm pit hair, non-hairy legs, non-hairy chests, non-hairy backs... and it's not weird...

I have been shaving my legs and arm pits for years, and I tend to the hedge at the same time. I am paranoid about personal hygiene and I see unruly and Masses of body hair as untidy and dirty which I attribute to many common incidents from my youth

Body hair is sexy.. don't doooo it.
