Though if you want a break from men being treated badly then try chick flicks. Notable exceptions like Thelma & Louise or First Wives Club aside they usually portray most men in a positive light.
But women tend to be demonized in chick flicks where even the best can be really stupid. One was so bad that I thought even the women who were supposed to be sympathetic were bat shit crazy (and the rest were downright evil, even criminally insane) and the men saints who put up with them so patiently. I heard the book was even worse with the evil mother sexually molesting the little boy. Generally speaking a lot of chick flicks do seem to promote the idea that women are much more hostile to other women.
'Course a lot of men do tend to find those movies incredibly boring. Hmmm....try White Oleander, it's chick flick enough but in a way plenty of men can also enjoy it (though one Amazon reviewer said if any man liked it then he needed to do soul searching but no man I asked who'd seen it could tell me why he'd say such a thing).
