All depending on where this happens, you can expect to have a bit of a shock... Marshlander proposed to me on the day the Queen signed the act allowing same sex couples to marry in England and Wales.

I was travelling to England that day, and arrived in the evening. He came to pick me up at the airport and when I was coming out into the hall (but hadn't reached the main hall yet, he got down on his knee and asked me right there with people trying to hurry past to their taxis... It didn't last long, lol. I felt embarrassed, and said, 'Of course, you silly thing! Now get up!) (not a way to address your future spouse, I agree), but I felt embarrassed as it wasn't the best place to ask since we were holding up the crowds leaving the airport. It was an appropriate date, though. At last the UK and France had similar laws for it to happen.

I was thinking that because they dimmed the lights during the kiss.

FYI - I will kill you (who ever dares to make the horrendous mistake of falling in love with me) if you propose to me in public and dare to have it filmed...

I have always dislike public displays of emotion - I think such things should be private - thus marriage proposals, holding hands, kissing and crap like that annoy me.

I used to think it was all because gays were not allowed to do it (therefore myself) but now I'm pretty certain that it doesn't matter who is doing it... its annoying, disturbing... IDK impolite?
