True - court order, not popular vote. This state prides itself on remaining on the wrong side of history to the last possible moment.
At least I live in one of three counties that voted overwhelmingly NO to the ban. And the company I work for, like many other major employers in this state, decided that same-sex marriage recognition was inevitable, and extended benefits this year to my husband. It was fun sitting in my office with no partitions or privacy, calling HR and, shouting loud enough to be heard over the normal office din, asking, "WHY DO I HAVE TO CLAIM MY HUSBAND AS BOTH A SPOUSE AND A DEPENDENT ON THE ONLINE FORM???"
