I guess it depends on the show and how they do it. I was pleasantly surprised when Rose McGowan replaced Shannen Dougherty on Charmed.

Well, this is it. For me, it was like a new restaurant had opened in town, after the one I'd loved had gotten lame and overrun with people crass and vulgar. It's not like I decided I was never going to back, just that I was enjoying the alternative. I'll probably still use both (and a couple of others), but the degree of each is obviously dependent on how much I'm enjoying my time. If anything, have GS as respite actually makes the BS on RJ less bothersome.
