I'm going to a OneRepublic concert in two weeks! i've been waiting for this since July, ever since i heard about their tour. it's been a long wait, and i'm really excited to hear them live. i only finally got my ticket today. can't wait for it now....

I decided to get my partner a personalized sports jersey for his birthday. Unfortunately, I thought of the gift a bit late. I went to the shop in early August for his early-September birthday, and they say personalization can take 4-6 weeks. I figure that's fine - I'll just tell him that his present will be a bit delayed. So I put down the money, fill out the form, and take the receipt. They promise to call as soon as they have it ready.

Having not heard from them by the end of September, I give them a call. The guy who answers says "I don't know what the deal is - that should've been done by now. I'll send them an e-mail, and I'll give you a call as soon as I know anything." I tell him that's fine.

...I then repeat this call three times. In early October, mid-October, and today. Each time, I'm told he doesn't know why it's taking so long, and he'll send them an e-mail, and will call me back. He HAS called back once (after the mid-October call), leaving a somewhat cryptic message saying "The good news is that it looks like the wheels are in motion" and promising to call the second they get it in. But judging by the call today, I'd say those wheels have stopped.

I'm going in on Friday in person. It may not be pretty.
