Weather is ok now...supposed to warm up this weekend.... I didn't get much snow here, it we literally were in between the worst of it...about 50 miles east they got a foot, we got about an inch...which most of it melted...so the snow days were kind of snowless...

@Cridders, so what is the difference between college and university? Here it is the same thing.
Beginning at about age 6, we have elementary school from grades 1-5, middle school grades 6-8 and high school grades 9-12, then "college/university" after that for four years concluding in a bachelor's degree with 2 more year for a masters and about 2 more for a doctorate. Anything after high school is self-financed, essentially, though grant and loan programs are available.
I bid NO Trump!

@Axle, you got lucky in a way. As best I can figure we got about 11" at my house and there is a lot of it still on the ground. I will be going out today for the first time since Thursday.

Here, you don't have a middle school. At the end of secondary school you get GCSE's which you then take to college to get A levels and then off to University for a degree. College A levels typically take 2 years, the grades from that are needed to get into your chosen University. Colleges are pretty much a higher level of Secondary School, people tend to still live in the family home when at college then move away for University.

@Axle, let sleeping dogs lie. You know you have a tendency to overthink. Why let it guide you into trouble?
starlight, how many chairs have you seen that have five legs?
Even more than 5

At least the sun was behind clouds and the breeze was cool as I waited endlessly for the bus to come...and then wait some more for a late train :/

Much as I love it in principle, Insert, public transport can have its drawbacks.
Still, I do wish we had a better system here. I would definitely use it.

I feel you about this. I came to bitch about transit here too. I love public transportation but i had a nightmare commute to work today and a nightmare commute home. I didnt know whether to snap and freak out and throw a fit or to just laugh at how absurd it really was considering all of my bad luck with it today. I chose to cry internally.

Yeah, I think the frustrating part was everything failing in sequence. I didn't cry on the inside though, Emil. I just...slept. On the bus at least. I accepted defeat and got home, munched on some leftovers, showered and then plastered my face on the pillow.
Today was better
