I would learn to speak Japanese - I started in high school and wish I continued with it to be honest
As I grow to understand less and less,
I learn to love it more and more.

Once anime is not popular anymore, no one will want to learn Japanese or any Asian language. Just like 20 years ago. No one liked anything Korean or Japanese. It's all a trend. So sad.
Quite a few business uni degrees now are business studies with Japanese as they predict it will be the future of business!

I have an International Business degree, and if anything it will be Mandarin, not Japanese at all.

Italian - I love Italy and most things Italian.

I'd learn Latin if I could choose just one language so then I can actually understand gigantic English words since I'll know why the prefixes and suffixes are what they are. Also, it'll be easier to try to learn other descendant languages with that knowledge.

I'm going to be the person who is different and say I would want to learn either Ancient Mayan, Ancient Aztec, or Ancient Egyptian. Why? Just because I think it would be fun to speak a dead language. If I had to choose and actual half-way useful language, then I would have to say Greek.
