NEW - GS Interview - AlohaS

AlohaS Wrote:When people thank me for my service I feel one of three ways; I either feel extremely proud for serving my country, I feel embarrassed because it can be hard receiving such a compliment, or I feel guilty for being thanked since I have never been to war (I've been in recruiting duty for 12 years).

You may not have been to war, but you still served our country, so don't feel guilty!

Would you consider marrying a man, or would you rather stay single?

Now, some silly questions.

What is your favorite meal?

Do you like to dance?

Do you have any pets? If not, would you want one?

If for some alien reason you had to choose between either of these two to be your loving partner for the rest of your monogamous life, who would it be; Britney Spears or the perfect beautiful clever amazing kind man who had no penis?

Thanks Cellar, I appreciate your words my friend!

I would absolutely consider marrying a man. I am very much against hook-ups and anonymous sex. I plan to take some time to discovery my likes and dislikes and will eventually start dating with the hopes of finding a long-term relationship. Marriage, whether gay or straight, is a reward for being committed to your partner.

My favorite meal is eggplant parmesan...YUMMY!!!

I do not have any pets but I LOVE cats and enjoy dogs. I would be ecstatic to have a Savannah cat but I'll settle for a Bengal or Tonkinese. Wink

I would absolutely choose the perfect, beautiful, clever, amazing, and kind man with no penis. Sex is only one aspect to the relationship and all of the attributes you mentioned mean so much more.

Hi AlohaS,

Just a random question....

Would you prefer to watch a movie in the theater or go hiking in the woods with your partner?

Oh wow, that's tough! I seriously love doing both...with all things being equal I would have to say going to the movies with my partner an save the hiking for a group thing.

AlohaS Wrote:Coming out is harder than I could ever have imagined. I have ignored all the "signs" that I was gay, refused to accept that I am attracted to men, always tried to merge my attraction to men and feeling like being with women was the right thing to do by seeking out transgendered people. My coming out hasn't even fully been accomplished though. In my second post on this forum I said that I told my mother and brother that the reason my current marriage failed and will soon end in divorce is because I cheated on my wife with a few men. Both asked if I was gay and I said that I wasn't sure. I later talked with both and said I don't think I am. As I said before, I stuck my leg out of the closet but ended up yanking in back in. I am out to my wife and a few select people but I know that when the time is right I will jump up and shout it to all. Oddly enough, I fear having residual straightness. Wink

I am 100% positive that my wife will continue to be supportive. My first post on the forum mentioned how she is truly my BFF. A subsequent post took all that back and revealed that everything has soured. As we both accept the situation, we have grown closer than I feel we ever did in the last 14 years of being together. We are honest with each other completely without judging or being critical. The marital aspects of our lives caused so much tension and anger; now that it is gone and we are left with the choice of either being bitter exes or friends, we are evolving. I'm sure many would call our developing relationship sick or twisted, but we don't see it that way. She loved me as her husband before, but now she loves me as family and likes me as a best friend. We can never be truly apart from one another since we have children together. But what we are building really works for us. Sure there are some tough times but I value her thoughts and opinions over anyone else's. I trust her judgment more than anybody I know. I'm not delusional; I know that it isn't always going to be like skipping hand in hand in a field of daisies. But what we have is real...she is my Grace. Wink

Sorry if I rambled, but words cannot do this explanation justice.

Not sure how I missed this post but enjoyed your answers very much! I love your candor and hope you'll move things right along with your recent momentum. How easy would it be just to send a thank you card to mom, et. al., saying you love them caring and how much you appreciate that they will accept you've realized your last message about not being sure is resolved because you now know for sure? If you "formalize" it with an actual beautiful card it will frame your very sincere and gifted written communication skills and she may just treasure that card for many years to come. Just a thought... Wavey

Hi Shannon,

not really sure I have a question, I just wanted to say hi and tell you that you are fucking sexy as hell.
oh yes, I have much respect for our military and do thank you for serving.

I also love eggplant parm and if I am ever in HI (I plan to visit there someday) I could make you an incredibly delicious, home made, organic eggplant parm with spinach (or not...I like spinach)

yay! there's my question...

do you like spinach?

I love spinach! I'd also love your recipe...I am a very organic eater and am still in pursuit of the perfect eggplant parm recipe. Thanks for the compliments too by the way. Wink
