Somewhere around last year (or last 2 years) when I first watched Modern Family. It didn't occur to me that I have the option of being gay and still have a family just like what I wanted had I been straight. The idea that love between 2 men was foreign to me. The idea that these 2 men could have a well functioning family was even foreign to me. Of course I struggled a while with my faith,but had it not been for me watching Modern Family,I wouldn't have even dreamed of having a romantic relationship with a man,and I'm just glad I do now. That was also one of the things that lead me to GS last summer,cause I wanted to reach out to like-minded gay community.
