Normal computer temperature

Mine is on my desk as well. I dock it to a 32" monitor so I can actually see what I'm doing. Smile

Boot your machine and fire up your web browser and ms word. Then look at the % of CPU being used. It's possible that you have a lot of programs running that maybe you don't need. If the CPU has to run a lot of programs, it heats up.

Video cards make a big difference...especially with laptops. If they're integrated with the motherboard they tend to run cooler but if you have a performance video card installed, it's a hottie in more ways than one! Wavey

It will BURN you it runs that hot (seriously!) I have to use a cushion or pillow if Im working with it on my lap!

Erm, the MBP's don't actually have vents underneath. The are side vented.

Maybe thats why Apple don't actually use the work "Lap" in their description, incase someone sue's them.... LoL
