Yeah lovely when there still too young too have developed houdini-like powers of escape...i spent many a day traipsin round the country lookin for the f@ckers that and the fact that they never thought twice too ram ya when ya turned yer back...chickens a lot easier

LOL, oh happy memories! Best investment I ever made there was an electric fence. Most twisted fun was getting someone else to test it

It was the rear-up-on-hind-legs-skull-crunching-headbutting-game they would play when first letting them back out to browse in the spring that I found most disturbing.

I actually had more trouble with escaping chickens than goats. I tried clipping one wing, two wings, more fencing, different fencing, higher fencing. In the end I had to give up and the neighbours hated my chickens free ranging round their gardens. Lost the last few to foxes ...

We rarely had probs with the chickens..they were kept in a large flock with guinea-fowl and bantams and tended too stick close too home tho every now and again we'd loose a few...the goats on the other hand were constant trouble (worth the milk tho)

Halloween is a great excuse to dress up!! Its about the only time you'll see me in a dress or skirt!! Being a vampire of course!!
