I have been homeless Bowyn, no matter if I come from a quite wealthy family I did, and that's why as a rich man today I spend a lot for shelters and community housing. I own three apartment building and I only rent them to those who's ready for a second breath. Yes it's not much of a profit based, but that's my way of giving back to the community. When I was wondering the streets, I met a guy that gave me the push to come back. He's dead today, but I paid for his funeral and still paying, he's now resting in our family mausoleum. I'm very sensitized with homeless and when I see one I immediately wanna help, but I also know which one I can help and those who are just exaggerating.

My question Bowyn to you, what would you have done if you had meet a person like me who would have offered you assistance? Would you have accepted it or rejected it?

Well since you have been on the streets yourself you should know and understand the concept that one has to check for strings attached on everything.

So I most likely would be mighty suspicious of a fella offering to help me out... Thoughts like 'does he want to have sex with me? Or is he just wanting to drain my body of blood and then have sex with me?' And that wouldn't be a question of jest, it is one you would ask yourself in all seriousness.

I did get a wee bit of help out of my situation, however it was disguised in the form of me helping myself.... It was more digestible and more acceptable.

I never gave up hope, and was willing to work myself out of that situation...

So yes, in the long run, once my paranoia was quieted down, I would have accepted assistance of some sort.

If they come right up to me rattling their money cup in my face I ignore them, not to mention that it's a bad idea to encourage other nearby beggars, I've had them flock around me before and it was not pleasant. However, during my year abroad there were a few beggars who I would regularly give some spare change to, that is, whenever I had anything on me. But some of them are willing to settle for other things besides money; one time me and some friends gave this woman an ice cream bar on a hot day, which she seemed to appreciate.

I wonder why the hell churches and mosques, which are supposed to be shelters for such people, do nothing to appease their misfortune, drug users or not. I give absolutely nothing to any kind of religious community, because I know that a Christian one won't help a Muslim, nor vise-versa.

*shrug* because churches find fighting against lgbt right more important than dealing with poverty, or fighting against abortion/whatever have you.

Or maybe they do help the poor.... in other countries after they can hand out their religion freebies
