Ok...I will try not to make this too long.
As most of you know, I recently started a food-service business. I am renting space in a commercial kitchen where I prepare the food and where I park my food-service trailer.
Soon after I arrived at the commercial kitchen, I had trouble with a couple who own a hotdog cart who also rent space at the kitchen. They kept parking their cart in my designated parking spot and refused to move it. I reported it to the kitchen manager and he talked to them and made them move their cart.
The next day, someone had put nails in my tires. I suspected that it was them, but I had no proof, so,I decided to just let it go.
The next week, I caught the flu so I was out form work for a few days. When I returned, "someone" had unplugged the electricity from my cart. I lost several hundred dollars worth of seafood. Even though there are fail-safe connections on the electrical connections, I had no way to prove who unplugged it, so I let it go.
Yesterday, I discovered that there is a local licenses I haven't gotten yet that I should have. I asked a couple of the other food-service business owners about it and they explained that they were aware of the license but that they didn't have one either and suggested I not worry about it until I had the money to pay for it. The couple who I had trouble with in the past were working ajacent to where I was working and must have over heard me, because.....when I arrived at my new location this morning (first time I have EVER been there), an official from the City was waiting for me with a citation for not having the previously mentioned licenses.
Now, I cannot work again until the license comes through (5-7 days).
I don't know WHAT this couple's damage is! Well...I do suspect that they are methamphetamine addicts (they look really strung out a lot of the time), but I mean their problem with me.
I am pretty much near the end of my rope!
