I think marriage is a great option for many who are into the traditional values and bells and whistles of such a process. The legal documentation is a fulfillment and "evidence" of two people's devotion toward each other...and it is perfect for those couples. But just like many things in life, it is not for everyone, and many couples can live a very happy and fulfilling relationship without marriage.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: marriage is wonderful, but it is not wonderful and necessary for everyone.
