Interview the person below
Cridders88 Wrote:A few months ago a truck sped past me as I walked down the pavement to the bus stop near my flat. It had a unsecured plank of wood which was sticking out from the back. I didn't see it until it was too late, and I ended up having a 40mph wack to the chest. Was very winded for a bit and my arm and chest were quite badly bruised for a while after. Always a bit dubious now along that stretch of road when a truck goes past...

I never vaguely remember anything (I think) but if there was any it was getting lost in the crowd (never ever want to feel that feeling ever again !).

I spilled 200 mg of a cyclic peptide dissolved in dichloromethane inside the water bath of a rotary evaporator. Within one second I had:

1) Almost lost a few hundred dollars of a product (recovered most of it by taking the almost 4 L of water and freeze-drying it lol)

2) By default, caused the very volatile dichloromethane to instanly evaporate upon contact with the warm water, thus filling the air with a not so health-safe solvent and what not.

3) Got an equipment that wasn't even ours all messy.

I had to clean it, recover the water with my spilled product, replace with fresh distilled water and open the windows to get the dichloromethane out, all of this before anyone noticed what had happened.

Describe what you do when you get home from work on any average day
