Ahhhh do you mean a nanny? Some people still use them or just call them childminders, otherwise it sounds a bit Mary Poppins. 'Nan' is a relaxed term some people call their Grandmas over here.

I don't have any allergies, a wonder considering my Mum's allergic to penicillin and my Dad has coeliac disease.
