sweetlad86 Wrote:Hey just read a review for this film which is called Bent made in 1997 by Sean Mathias. Never heard of him though.. This is another really difficult film to watch. It is an amazing film, but so difficult to watch. I tried to stop watching dark gay films and am glad that there are more positive films out there today... but if you want to watch a very dark film by Fassbinder (the German Gay Hitchcock - sort of, IMHO) try to find In A Year of 13 Moons In einem Jahr mit 13 Monden (1978) Gabriel Wrote:'From the Life of the Marrionettes' is a really good gay film from the 80s by Ingmar Bergman. Interesting... never heard of this but have seen Scenes from a Marriage which is where the characters are based... Didnt know this was "gay themed". Thanks for passing that on.

I think I mite be getting two films mixed up. The Channel 4 film I think is called "My Beautiful Laundrette"

I think 'In & Out' is a funny, quirky and clever movie. The cast are all excellent, and how many of us who are of a certain vintage hasn't fantasized about Tom Selleck being out and available?

I watched Adam And Steve On LOGO our national Gay cable channel the other day and thought it was different and very entertaining to watch at least once. Angels in America is repeating again which is my all time favorite movie.

Here's another one. Trick, its about what happens on an attempted one-night stand between an aspiring musical theatre writer/composer and a go-go boy. Needless to say things do not go as planned.

I saw quite an interestingly quirky gay film not long ago, "Bent" and certainly doesn't fit the typical "Happy - Tragic - Happy Ending" format.
Also arguably RENT is significantly different, although with an overall happier ending than Bent, but still very individual. *Nods* xx

Would it be really despicable of me to just put porno names here and pretend they're credible films?? I mean, to be fair you don't have to have seen The Fireman's Hose 1 and 2 to enjoy The Fireman's Hose 3, but they're still very enjoyable viewing...
