Unfortunately the moment I started thinking about whether or not pooping was actually negative or not I was done doing my business. I suppose in some ways it's both, it's smelly and makes you uncomfortable but without it you couldn't have those moments of quiet contemplation and wonderful free feeling afterwards. Much like the idea that you can't know happiness until you've known sadness. Then there's also those with the poop fetish to consider...I guess it all depends on perspective.

I don't think poo is negative unless it stays in you longer than it's supposed to, and I agree with the mental/emotional parallels @Hardheaded1 described. It's called 'purging' for a reason
I know my event is generally on schedule, and when it isn't it messes up my day.
