My post was entirely in jest. I was pretending he was a young thing in a backwater and needed to strike out on his own to find his fortune and fame.

Being 68 and in New Orleans, he's quite the opposite. It was my tongue-in-cheek way of wishing him the best.

Better later than never. Everyone has their own journey for self-realization and self-actualization. Congrats, you're the man!

I trust that he did. Most men making it to 68 develop an eye for that sort of humor. Age has its benefits.

Thanks for all the replies, I am just wondering what I do now. How does an old guy get some "experience" and what do I do to effect all that. I want to finally enjoy what I have dreamed about and fantasied about all my life. I want to DO IT! But have not a clue what to do (to get done that is!).

But having a place where I can talk about the things that I want to do and have done to me, so to speak, is great. Who can I ask to find about what I can expect when and if I "get lucky enough"?

I went to a gay dating site and it seems that all the young guys want young guys, and all the older guys wanted the younger guys as well. Sheese, no one seems to want and older newbie! And I understand that, believe me, I do understand.

Thank you all so much and all advice, responses and counsel is appreciated and treasured!
