I do, but I've started taking epsom salt baths to help fight eczema and nail fungus. It hasn't been proven to work yet, but I find it helps.
TPBM has stubborn nail fungus

Oh my sweet summer child @Chase
1.- Onychomycosis is a chronic infection. It won't heal on its own, so by definition, all are stubborn and persistent. 2.- Yes, as a matter of fact I just noticed 2 days ago a small patch of infected nail, so before it inevitably spreads, I got my self some 3 boxes of 250 mg terbinafine. 1 pill per day for 12 weeks and then letting healthy nail grow should do the trick. I'm not exactly sure what would a bit of diluted magnesium sulfate would do to fungal hyphae....I have heard from a friend's mom (who is a podiatrist) that soaking the infected nail in apple vinegar every day for like 15 minutes works too. Wouldn't know. But, here you should read some https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6483327/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6162761/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6383100/ TPBM is an alienÃgena patipelado

Oh @Chase , please take @Insertnamehere ”˜s advice. For years I tried to get rid of toenail fungus with all kind of methods, but only the 3 month course of meds from my Primary Physician cured it.

Every time I try bringing it up with my healthcare provider she tells me she doesn't want me taking the meds for it because she says it's bad for my liver
Is alienÃgena patipelado supposed to translate as barefooted alien? I tried googling it. I guess the first lady of Chile said something about aliens being blamed for the protests, so protesters are now mocking her by dressing up as aliens? And the patipelado thing is supposed to mean something about the poor? I'm not sure. I'm in favor of the protesters in Chile, if that's what you're asking. TPBM has seasonal allergies

For me they are year-round allergies, unfortunately.

The issue here is the infection will not heal unless you treat it so unless she has some proven alternatives I'd say she should be on board with antimycotics. If not a systemic treatment at least a topic one. Less effective, slower to take effect (over 3 months), but doesn't touch your liver. Now, I'm sure I cited this already but take a read at this. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6483327/ Antimycotic hepatotoxicity studies are relatively abundant, and generally, antimycotic function, effectiveness and side effects are very well reported. You can inform yourself on this easily. Just search in any data base: NCBI, ScienceDirect, etc. Notice I picked terbinafine. It is one of the less risky and most effective treatments in the bunch. Reported severe hepatotoxic effects are under 1% of cases. Azoles, especially ketoconazole, are riskier. Here, 2 reviews (that the previous paper cited btw) https://doi.org/10.1007/s11096-014-9969-y (terbinafine) https://doi.org/10.1002/jcph.400 (ketoconazole) thefirstoneisnotopenaccessbutyouknowwhattodowiththeDOInumber*coughcough*scihub*coughcough* In any case a healthy young man like you shouldn't really have to be worried all that much. Although I would research interactions with any other drug you might be taking. I'm also assuming here that you can go to any drug store and get an antimycotic just like that. Wouldn't know if it shares the same control as antibiotics in your little piece of land. At least here they do not. And the patipelado thing is supposed to mean something about the poor? I'm not sure. I'm in favor of the protesters in Chile, if that's what you're asking. Ok, this is funny. So the First Lady was a bit wasted and sent a whatsapp audio to her friends, one of which apparently leaked it and she was saying that the protests seemed like an alien invasion to her. Obviously people started wearing alien masks for protests. The second term is exactly that, barefoot, but is has been used for ages as a derogatory term that wealthy elites used to refer to poor people (back in the day, not so much now, footware was a luxury the poor could not afford). The current president of one of the conservative/right wing parties here let that term slip while giving an interview. Not that it surprised anyone she thinks that way of lower income people, but politician as she is, not a smart slip of tounge. Naturally most of us have taken these terms as our own while protesting in which is basically a fight of everyone against the elites. So, if you are not a part of the American elite, my dear, you are part of the "everyone else" i.e. an alienÃgena patipelao. TPBM is now tired after that lengthy explanation and wonders why do I even bother. |
