Can anal sex be dangerous?

.....I mean, not including STDs. If you and your partner are both clean of any STDs, you use a condom, and a good amount of lube, is it still dangerous to have anal sex? Recently, I had a bad case of hemorrhoids because I was straining in the bathroom. I was pooping blood and I needed to go to the doctor to make sure it wasn't anything super serious. That was just from going number 2. It made me wonder, what could sticking a dick up there do to me if just straining while going number 2 could cause that much damage. Plus, I'd heard some people (who probably aren't very educated on the subject, but whatever) say that too much anal could really mess you up. But I don't know if any of this is really true. I do know there are some gay couples that have anal sex somewhat regularly and they seem to be fine. How do they do it safely?

yeah, hemorrhoids and anal sound like a pretty bad combo to me, plus, i think i read somewhere that if too much pressure is put on the prostate, it can cause some pretty serious problems ass well, so maybe it's a good idea to give anal a break for a little while, or if it's a viable option, maybe switch "positions" for a little bit, and maybe add some more fiber to your diet to make to #2 's less strenuous.

^Oh, I've never had anal sex. The whole hemorrhoids thing just made me wonder if I ever did, could it be dangerous considering I got hemorrhoids just from using the bathroom? It seems like anal sex is much harsher on the ass than using the bathroom, but I know some people have it as regularly as a couple would and they're fine.

Everything will depend on how you relax and how relax is your hole, it should be gentle and ready, no one can stick it if you are ready if not you it will cause you damage as muscular tear

Well from what I know being a bottom..I keep researching on this topic.

Of course to prevent yourself from diseases..a condom is a must however a rough fuck or some bad positions can definitely damage anal. See anything you over do can damage anything. Anus has sensitive tissues and it can break and you would never know coz blood wouldn't show up. Secondly stools we pass has bacteria which could pass through the tissues into your blood. So all I can suggest below points

1 Condom
2. Lube
3. Go slow, no raw or hard fuck
4. No fingering until and unless the partner's hand is clean & he doesn't have sharp nails
5. Dont do it frequently
6. Go for anal test if you feel
7. No usage of drugs or poppers coz that time, you don't feel the pain, no matter how hard he goes.

In the marines I used to help out the navy medics when they needed it. Hemorrhoids were a daily thing. Medics told me anal sex doesnt cause them. And got in debates with straight guys as a EMT with the fire dept talking about gays getting them from anal sex. I heard two doctors say anal sex doesnt cause them.

I just want make sure gay AND straight guys would know better. I aint ashamed to admit I love the hell out of anal play if a gal wants to do it to me. I got a bag of toys for it.
