Maybe a new career or just a hobby,

Virge Wrote:Ray was doing it before he went in the marines from age 17 in New Orleans at OZ... then did it when he could get away during the 4 yrs in the marines and has been doing it since just for the fun money a few times a year. He's good at it and makes some big bucks.

Cool. Are you thinking of doing a hot double act with Ray or will you be going solo? Cool

Maybe some of both. Before Ray and I met we were both into "tricking" - a mix of martial arts, gymnastics, and dancing. In the marines we did it a lot together. He teaches it to kids through the Rapid City Recreation now and is getting up a team. I've been playing around some at it when I go and see the kids Ray works with. I need to practice more than a little bit but have a month. I'm making the LAST long road trip leaving in the morning and coming back Wednesday real early... so I'll have a whole month to get back into form.

here's a video if you don't know what tricking is.
Ray is in this 3 times real quick towards the beginning and once towards the end in a dark blue tank top.

We'd pay top canuckistan dollah to watch.

And when I was younger, I'd trick too. But in a different way. But just as energetic.

Has anyone else tried ecdysing?

Ok, so NOW you put up a definition? After I read it as ecdysis...and I'll never be able to hear your name again without thinking of thousands of cicadas dropping their hard, crunchy, nasty shell parts all over me in the woods in Virginia...UGH...

Thanks Virge. I'd not heard of this before; it's a bit like Break Dancing, on steroids!

I think I'd seriously hurt myself trying to pull off some of those moves

Silly Pie Romancer. I did put ecdysiast as a hyperlink to the definition in the OP. And those freaky cicadas you guys have... JEEZ. We don't have anything like that here... or 2 inch long cockroaches! I got a real education on BUGS when I went to Parris Island in in '05. BLECH!

It's really mucho fun but I'm not going to lie and say I haven't hurt myself more than a few times doing it. It's fun and I wish I'd stayed with it. I messed up a hand and was out of it for a long time.
