What do you hate about porn?

Here's a list of the things I hate about porn. Don't get me wrong. I love it while being single, but there are so many things that they do that restrict the porn from being it's best.

1. Close Ups

This one is the one I hate the most. Everything is usually good until they start anal. Then a good chunk of the video may just be the bottom's ass. I'd rather see the whole picture of the 2 doing it, not just the ass. There's not much really going on there for me.

2. Not being able to be too close to one another:

This covers a few things. Like when doing anal the top cannot grab the bottom's hips from both sides. Usually the hand that is towards the camera has to be at his side. I've seen several times where the top goes to grab the bottoms hips, but then jerks his hand back like he remembered that he is not supposed to.

3. Odd couple choices

This one is mainly cause I don't pay and go to free places. But it takes forever to find a good video sometimes because they pair a really hot guy with a mediocre guy. This one is purely opinion, but I don't like twinks, and it's usually a twink paired with a guy who is hotter. Heck most of the free sites are littered with twinks. Are they popular or something? I can never find any good hairy guys or slightly chubby like Heath Jordan. Porn needs a lot more guys like him.

4. Weird props/surprise golden shower

There have been times (rarely) while I finally find a pair of guys I think are hot, but then they use something really weird. And not just a sex toy (which I don't think they need anyway). It's really random. Golden shower's are the worst offender. It won't be labeled in the video, and it will just happen.

5. Hats/leaving clothes on

Just take it off guys. Sometimes they will leave their shirts on hiding their beautiful chests, or they will leave a jockstrap which hides their penis. Ugh, just take it off.

6. Reverse Cowgirl

I think this is what the position is called. It's when the bottom sits on the top, but is looking away from him. This really kills it for me. I understand not looking at each other with doggie, since it is an easier position, but just turn around when sitting on top of him. There's no point to not looking at him. Someone explain why this position is almost always there.

But, yeah, I do know what you mean, OP, and I agree with some of your complaints.

What amazes me... seriously... is HOW MUCH OF IT THERE IS. And it ranges from very professional to totally amature and self-shot. I am semi-opposed to porn for several reasons. No not because I'm a prude.

My reasons is that porn has taught too many people the WRONG things.

Take Anal Sex:

According to Ask Alice and several other resources, 60% of gay men don't do anal sex.

Out of the 40% left over, about half don't want to do anal, but they do it because they feel they must because they saw it being done in a movie. Or, which has been going on far longer than porn, Bigots keep repeating the same tired statements about what it is to be gay - packing fudge is what gays do - all of them do it - according to the bigots.

Why does porn teach us that all gay men must get into anal?

Because Film Producers do not care about conveying reality, instead they want each movie they make to be bought by the largest consumer base possible. So they developed the Porn Formula:

a. Everyone get neekid.
b. Start off with oral.
c. Go to anal.
d. Turn someone into a glazed doughnut.



Personally when I open up my porn studio and start collecting my collection of 'stars' - I'm going to make certain that less than half of the films made use that formula, with targeted specific sex acts in other movies. This way if a person loves anal, well then fine, here ya go - all anal, all the time, no oral - no hands - have fun.

If a person wants strict oral - well there it is. We have deep throat, sucking, slurping, licking, worship - all the oral one can hope for without the dreaded leap forward to the magical condom anal sex.

The other annoying thing is the magically appearing condom. Honestly, one would think that the porn studios would 'get' that they are the only educational resource for most people when it comes to the subject of sex. The least they can do is try to show how much fun gloving up for safe sex can be, and how to properly apply lube and other stuff. These steps are almost always left out - which leads to a generation who don't know how to put on a condom, or worse, exactly how to go about lubing up.



Yes I know - its a 'STORY' it is fantasy... Unfortunately the impact that porn has had on the world since the advent of the VHS tape is so huge that it has changed our notions of what is hygienic and what isn't. Go look up some 1970's films - please to note very little trimming, and all the guys appear to go with their natural body hair. Oh and Glorious Mustaches. Porn is having a profound impact on how people go about getting their 'it' on - and how they view their own body's and raising their expectations for the impossible - or goals that only a few men possess (giant dicks are rare in humans - other species not so much).

1. The dialogue, oh god the dialogue, nothing (for me) kills the mood faster then phoned in moans & grunts and dialogue the only the directors/writer's could possibly think is sexy.

2. Personal pet peeve, but in either straight or gay porn, i don't like it when they pull out for the "money shot". personally i would rather see a filled condom or an internal shot(or "creampie") than to just watch it sprayed everywhere.

4. Personal preference, but i like shorter and more to the point (or should i say tip ) movies and vids. sometimes i just look up images and just imagine my own scenario.

5. Not sure why, but even though it's a personal kink/fetish of mine, most bdsm videos i watched are pretty hit or miss, either some of them are either too soft for too hard/cruel, lacking creativity, don't really explore other ass-spects of the culture that often, and sometimes have the same problems i previously mentioned.
