Ingenious Japanese bathrooms
#1
Most of the stuff is ingenious but as far as one point goes, it pre-supposes that you have your washing machine in the bathroom.

Cool! When I was in Japan..I always noticed how much more innovative and frankly...advanced...than we were...in a lot of areas. Living here in the US...they kind of brainwash you to think we are the "best"...at everything...and we aren't....

I don't see why we think that way because we ARE good at a lot of stuff..maybe even the best at some of it....

I remember the bathrooms in this one town..not sure if it was everywhere or not..that had public restrooms for male and female together...and also spray hoses to "wipe your ass"...

..and because of that..I got into it with a few American Mormons trying to "spread the good word" in this Japanese town because at the time...Japan had one of ...if not THE...lowest rate of rape in the world...and I concluded that their lack of body shame had a lot to do with it..so I challenged the Mormons to tell me why they wanted to bring their shame based religion to a society that was already functioning at a much higher level ...and I may have suggested to them that they were actually Satan in disguise...but I don't remember... Outtahere

I annoyed them...LOL....good....

My IT expert just came back from his honeymoon with his wife and he told me how clean were the public restrooms (for which there was almost always a queue), absolutely spotless. He was a little confused after washing his hands to find that there were no towels or hand dryers and then he observed that the Japanese carried small had towels with then for their personal use. Another thing that surprised him that the Japanese that had dogs, not only collected their excrement but afterwards, produced another small hand towel to wipe the dog's arse!

Those Japanese lavatories (no, not the one you illustrated) are available in some European countries but they are terribly expensive. The Japanese seem to have got it down to a real art.
