thanks for ur compliments! 8D

Ugh, it is sooo good to be back on here, moments of my time were filled with nothing to do and i resorted to walking my dog.. :-P

anyways, expect lighter if somehow harsher poems to come, life is good, even if it takes alot of work.

The slivers of this moisture familiar raining down my cheeks,
The sun greets the mirror of my face and the morning comes,
My hands open to receive you and all the light of the world...

The sky parts in its canvas to reveal the last of the moon,
A last resort for my remembrance to coincide with and sleep,
I bid farewell to yesterday and the rain runs down my fingertips...

Warmth is my genetic memory and I return to the before,
Only now to partially smile at lights at the ends of tunnels,
The clouds are my shelter and the trees, the trees my home...

...I greet the new day.

The cameraman is melting down and selling his glitter words,
In he comes on his paper white horse and five-star hotels,
Don't be afraid to ring the bell and happiness will ensue...

...I was born to die, so I'll dazzle your bigotry.

Your satin dreams aren't coming true the way that I'd hoped,
Twist your gold chains like you twist my one-too-many truths,
My brand can be the fine print on my birth certificate's lie...

...I was dead to your world, so I'll put on a show.

Another day, another number one on the sex richter's sonic scale,
Subliminal messages can make you feel so fabulous but oh-so fake,
Wow, the fickleness of it all, the humanity, or lack thereof...

...I was always famous, just nameless, I'll be a proven point.

Boy meets boy and all the world stops to watch in disgust,
All that the origin ever wanted was to find itself in love,
Some people would disagree with such a medical diagnosis...

Happiness in a bottle and enlightenment in a school textbook,
Time stands still when a scientist tires to disprove fairytales,
Some one ring the alarm, there's an atheist in the pews...

Open-minded focal point of the crossroads and the predictions,
I saw it on the television and my knowledge is subjective enough,
I'm going to show you how to live your life and misquote my heart...

We sell mindlessness in celluloid hoaxes and "thank you, come again's",
Oh, God, have mercy on our souls, we're becoming our mannequins again,
Everything comes back to those circles and we're paradoxes in a can.

Spiralling, and your twisting and turning in the covers keeps me up,
You never could before in practice and now who's pointing the gun?
Who's shooting who, and what loads are we carrying on our tongues?

Shoot the bird down and spiral out of control...

Pray and hypothesize all you want, we're still clowns putting on a show,
It's not a lie if they don't know that we're even speaking at all, is it?
Smoke and mirrors are all that we have become, all that we wanted, right?

Shoot the bird down and spiral out of control...

I want my Sia back, the one that sang to my heart's content, not my ear's,
I want happiness and something I can call my own, they call them... Dreams?
Sail, sail away, little boats, find yourself in others, or are you really that - ?

Shoot the bird down and spiral out of control...

All the other boys stuffed their pockets with crumpled magazines,
The most unwanted abomination and her little ugly duckling's last words;
"Who is it that you seek, if all you ever wanted is already yours?"

All the other boys with their broken bottles open to interpretation,
They forgot to mention the turmoil they had caused on their C.V.'s;
"You held another against his will to make you seem a little bigger?"

Most of all, the other boys swallow their pride in exchange for mine,
Diamonds would be forever, if not for the names they are forced to have;
"May the kingdom and the power, and the glory be yours, forever and ever."

Amen

Are these poems seen more widely than on this forum? I think some of them should be.
