Apparently Zimbabwe has asked for his extradiction from the USA. I don't suppose for one moment that the USA will acceed.

Of course he doesn't apologise for that, he loved every moment! He's only put out any form of apology in a desperate attempt to save face...

Ok, just making sure I've got it right:
He's sorry for killing Cecil illegally, but he would kill again (he's a hunter, goes with the territory).
His extradiction has not been requested by zimbabwe, but by an online petition.
He offers his help and is able to be contacted by officials, but he's in hiding.
Zimbabweans are more concerned with thirst and starvation than a dead lion.
That's all we know atm, right?

right, he ''didn't know it was protected''. sure everyone's gonna fall for that. a guy who's been doing it for years, and is said to be a specialist hunter doesn't know to do his research? that's bullshit, of course.

the NY Times version is inaccurate and so off the mark. lions rarely kill people. they stay away from people as a rule. this is not some heroic deed to be celebrated or be thankful for. the guy should be fined and lose the right to hunt wildlife. the whole article appears to be someone's personal biased take, if not outright concocted up for the purpose.
