I just went out to a friend's to say goodbye to our assistant who's returning to America tomorrow. We had a tomato quiche, some cheese and olives and some cakes... They were all nice.

What is samphire? I have not eaten dinner yet but today so far I had a bowl of Kashi Strawberry Fields with Bluebrries...a bowl of raspberries, blackberries and strawberries, a bagel with cream cheese and an orange. I love it when there is lots of fresh fruit available.

I daresay it may be found elsewhere but the best samphire grows wild in the coastal marshes round here in Norfolk. It's at its best for just a few weeks in the early summer.

Oh marshlander, I have always wanted to try samphire but sadly it hasn't made it the stones throw into Cambridgeshire yet

It looks good...I read about it after you posted the pic but they didn't mention taste in the description except that it is sometimes referred to as a sea asparagus or sea pickle...does it taste like either?

been to a festival for 5 days so all 6 of us lived off hot dogs and breakfast in a can and pretty much nothing else - this is not a good combination when living in tents together , those 2 items deffo cause gas

1:30pm 2 ham rolls, banana, apple, crisps
6:30pm: Chicken salad.. with extra chicken!
8:30pm: Horlicks!
