insane three days of EDM

i just got back from the WEEKEND Festival in Estonia, an EDM music festival that lasted for three days in a row. three days filled with A-list names and quality house music, great crowd and amazing time. i hadn't done this for years. i've been involved with the EDM scene and i've seen most of the great artists in the genre, but i've been backstage. now i took some time off and took a look at it from the other side, from the crowd.

the festival itself took place on an amazing beach in the town called Parnu. artists like Showtek, Tiesto, David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Felix Jaehn, Armin van Buuren, Tungevaag & Raaban, Chase & Status, Rudimental, and Nero were present among others. truly an amazing list.

i had a musical revelation when i heard Tungevaag & Raaban. the last time i had a revelation like that was when Showtek first appeared on the scene. i absolutely love it the way these guys mix, they have a very strong presence.

electronic dance music. it's more than an acronym in this case. it's prevalently used by the industry professionals, the media, and the audience alike when talking about it. one of those acronyms that is more in use than the words it represents. like NASA is, for example. you don't say 'National Aeronautics and Space Administration' every time you talk about it. you say 'NASA'. same with EDM music.

WOW! I have heard of most of those DJ's or have something by them especially Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren and of course David Guetta, but had no idea of a festival like this. I would love to go to something like this. Of course I would probably be the oldest one there! Love EDM!
