I'm sorry that you have to read this.

Cobalt Wrote:Okay, I'm going to level with you here. I'm extremely sensitive, insecure, paranoid, and have been bullied before. I've been pretty much a life-long loner and I easily get insulted and take it personally. I encourage you to just call a spade a spade. This was just a minor misunderstanding. Maybe Virge came on a little too strong for someone with your (and for the hell of it I'll just say "mine" too so you don't feel alone here) personality/sensibilities. That doesn't mean you should set the whole house on fire though and burn it all to the ground before you even started living in it. From what I've seen here (as mostly a lurker) this is a nice community. You would be doing yourself a disservice by leaving. Stick it out, your first post was pretty full of life and I actually enjoyed it. You seem like you've got something to offer here and something to gain. Don't quit before you've even started playing.

Why I "wasted" time on someone who is probably going to leave anyway doesn't matter to me. I'm reaching out to you because I want to and feel like this is just a big silly mistake that went a little too far. Please, just calm down a little bit and think about your decision a little more.

I'll shut my mouth and get over it. Virge is probably really cool--- I just don't understand his sense of humor. Yet.

And you're a button. Bunny2

Especially a stranger who's sensitive enough as it is, trying to find a place to be. It's upsetting.

How you react to something is entirely on you. If you make it the other person's problem..the road ahead will be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT...and you will create more karma than you can imagine...and become much worse than the people you feel are walking on you....

Self Pity is never a good path to take....

Bottom Line...don't make other people responsible for your sensitivity...it will not serve you well....

I have a bit of that myself..residue now..I used to have it alot more when I was younger...and when I realize I am doing it...I feel a moment of well deserved shame and embarrassment..and then I quickly own it because it is my own shit...and hope that the person i directed it to forgives me....

Good point, but you're late. I already agreed to get over it. Pinkieone

When you're bullied a lot of your life, and then, ironically, you get similar treatment from a mod on a gay forum, you start to rethink whether or not it's really worth fighting for.

I really don't care at this point. You guys can have your community.
When I was new here I totally misunderstood Virge also..
He'll tell you..

Now ..
When I log on I have to hunt him down..

Virge is like that brother that you have that's always upbeat..messes with you to put a grin on your face ..and does it because he cares.
..and will become one of your favorites here...

I promise you ..
The last thing Virge wants is to ruin your day.

Please give it another shot..

I'll send you pics from my dunkin doughnuts underwear photo shoot?

First.....
I'm last in line when it comes to people who take 'me, myself and I' very seriously. That's a 24/7/365 thing with me. I encourage all others to do the same.
Second...
Most the time I'm just going to be honest about it and say what I see. No harm meant in it. I have no control over how other people react to me anymore that you do. All we can do is control how we react to other people. (Advance Humor Warning) Please consider furnishing us with a list of other words you believe constitute ad hominems so we may be sure not to use them.
Third...
Thanks for letting us know early on that you have a short fuse and overly sensitive. We need to know that so maybe we can help you get over it.
Fourth....
There's not much that can't be discussed in here on an honest deeply personal level that will not be respected by 100% and enlist all members in trying to help with it... It's obvious you have some things you can learn from people .
Fifth...
Whether you stat or not is up to you. If you leave I hope you can do some soul searching about the reasons you feel you should and be honest about it with yourself about it, whatever those reasons are.

Well I'm glad you decided to stay, there was no reason to want to quit in the first place.

Now, I will mention that you do have to realize that no one can "make" you feel any which way, they can act how they want but how you feel about it is totally up to you. In the moment it's easy to get caught up but give things a little more thought before you internalize it. A place like this is really one of the few places I don't detect any hostility from. Maybe while you're here you can learn a bit about letting things roll off of you instead of letting them rub onto you. Put things into perspective.

Now having said that...what is a button? :/ Is that a bad thing?

No, Cobalt, I think a button is a nice thing. Cute as a button. Just because they're small and dainty?
