I'm afraid of being stroke by lightning...
..to the point that once I refuse to shower during thunderstorm because I afraid that if the water tank of the building get stroke I'd be dead horribly and embarrassingly in the bath tub.

However, concerning plumbing. I think all new houses are pretty safe because they use PVC for plumbing, at least here in the US for the most part. You're safe from lightning inside homes, or metal buildings and cars. A lot of those structures form somewhat of a Faraday cage which shields you from electrical current (and other electromagnetic radiation for the most part). One random fact about me. I am growing a bit of a beard for the first time ever...
