Surgery

Hey y'all... I'll be in the operating room around 10:30AM tomorrow having an umbilical hernia repaired. It's minor out patient surgery but it means I won't be doing much of anything but recovering for several weeks. Just how long is yet to be determined. So... I'll probably be hanging out around here a bit more. Initially I'm going to be on some heavy pain meds but hopefully I'll be cogent when I'm not sleeping.

Just thought some of you might like to know!

Do be sure to get someone to look in on you. Also, watch for bleeding. I was cautioned about that and went home to sleepy time. Later, when changing sheets, I realized that I had bled quite a bit without knowing it.

It's one of those routine but be careful procedures. You'll do fine.
