Yeah ..last two months were tough..
I kept getting goodbye e-mails back to back..

For a minute I took things personally then I pretty much let it go..

The common misconception about Gayspeak or the internet is.. it's the perfect escape or cover.. Total misconception. .

Anywhere you go, whether it is here or somewhere else online, or in real life...... there's always going to be an asshole in the bunch, and at least one bad egg. It's the GOOD people here that make this site GOOD. Don't let the bad egg and random asshole run you off yeah? Help the community here make this place better instead.

I'm of the opinion that a forum is what people make of it. I'm also of the opinion that (generally speaking) you can't control other people's behavior. We do well to control our own!

Forums are a slice of contemporary life. Compared to some (ahem [MENTION=20933]LJay[/MENTION]), GaySpeak is a paradise. Sure disquieting things sometimes happen. But, there are features. If someone is bothering you, block them. Speak out about it. Let the rest of us know.

But if we all play the "I'm going to take my marbles and go home" game, well, that doesn't help. For sure, if you're having a difficult time, do what you can to correct the situation. This includes taking responsibility FOR YOUR OWN behavior.

I say that because, IDK about the rest of you, but I know I can be a real dick at times. I almost pride myself on it, TBH. I was the SWEETEST ever most of my life but I've learned to not always be Mr. GoodyGoody. Also, sometimes I just plane out and out fuck up. I misspell words (or don't notice autocorrect changed a word I typo-ed). I get cranky. Abrupt. In your face. Not always a paragon of diplomacy to say the least!

And I'e also learned to NOT take things said in a forum overly personally. I mean, really? Who is this other person saying shit to me, anyway? Do I really CARE What he/she/it thinks? I already know damn well that most people don't THINK at all, especially about me, or, not more than a mono second... especially on a forum.

MOREOVER... what someone says about me? Well that always says way more about them than it does about me.

SO... drama <<< It always takes TWO (or more) to tangle. Just step back. Don't engage. Or, if you have engaged, withdraw. Let it go. let THEM have the last word. Who cares? Step away from the computer (or whatever device you're using). Take a break. Go get a beer, smoke a dooby, have a glass of wine, or go for a walk, pet your dog (or cat), fuck like a wild animal with your BF... WTFE.... just DO NOT STRESS ABOUT SHIT THAT GOES ON IN THIS OR ANY OTHER FOURM!!!

The problem is for me....even worse than the other two...is the PTSD I get from the complete negative self pity addict who plays the nasty passive aggressive card.

I had to show my BF just in case I got it wrong...aand having told him nothing at all about this person...I asked him to read a few of this persons posts and before I had a chance to ask him he blurted out..gee...who dug your dad up and told him to post on GS? That was going to be my question lol....

I had nothing to do with my father or mother at one point in my life and it may very well be the best decision I have ever made...abusive fucks...and I get chills and a little sick when I am faced with negative self pity.....heard it every day of my life. ***shudders*

So I know when to take a bow..for my own comfort and so I don't go off....and as soon as the climate changes I will return most likely..maybe read here and there until then. The ignore feature is only good when the person you are ignoring isn't quoted...
