The iconic "Flying Scotsman" returns.
#1
If you're not British and not a railway enthusiast this will probably mean nothing to you.

The "Flying Scotsman" was built in 1923 and was the first ever locomotive to reach 100 miles per hour. It has undergone a £4,200,000 restoration and has now appeared on the tracks for the first time in forty years.

You're not British but you could be a railway enthusiast. If you opened the thread then presumably you knew what the "Flying Scotsman" was. Sorry if you felt rejected.

its a hell of a lot of money to spend on a restoration (how many original parts are left lol) but some things are iconic and deserve saving for history purposes....I believe this is one of those deserving times

Yes indeed Matty, some things are unique and of historical interest and deserve to be conserved for future generations to see.
