The "Flying Scotsman" was built in 1923 and was the first ever locomotive to reach 100 miles per hour. It has undergone a £4,200,000 restoration and has now appeared on the tracks for the first time in forty years.

its a hell of a lot of money to spend on a restoration (how many original parts are left lol) but some things are iconic and deserve saving for history purposes....I believe this is one of those deserving times
