Trump or Hillary as President, who else is petrified?
Doofus89, can you not read google news???!!!!

In all charity, find it hard to believe that your post is serious. If you prefer to be the devil's advocate, please do, but read up a bit first.
I bid NO Trump!

Well it is easy to get fooled in the news and takes a considerable amount of effort to keep track of everything. I have been fooled into that right wing bovine scatology in the past, but I also don't buy into all the left-wing crap either. I try to be rational. The truth is, blue, red, purple, green, whatever color you might be, we're voting for the same garbage for the most part.

This election though, is some scary crap. I don't know, but both candidates are terrible, I might just vote for Gary Johnson... Unlikely he'll win and I haven't looked into all his stuff but the general feel is better than what is radiating from Trump and Clinton. I'll feel better to not have voted for someone who is unfit or is a criminal...or both for that matter.

One candidate may be a criminal in her dealings with events abroad as well as the use of email.

The other candidate panders to the fears of many Americans and stokes the fires (and also has very questionable practices in his past). And what does "Make America Great Again" look like??? Do YOU want to move backwards rather than forward?

Regardless of the candidate, they will ultimately just push the issues backed by their party.

So let's assume that Clinton is a criminal...regardless, how does the democratic party support us?

And maybe Trump will be hard for the republican party to control...but how does THEIR agenda or beliefs affect us?

For me, they are both crooks, they both suck, and I don't believe in either one of them. HOWEVER, Clinton will continue to defend equality because that's a huge part of the democratic party. AND her existence as the president of the US shows my daughter that she truly can do whatever a man can do.

And seriously Doofus - you can't find any proof of Trump's sexist or racist comments???

You all do know that bill clinton and donald trump used to be gold buddies, Does that not tell you something very important. Just saying.

and when someone starts throwing the word socialist or communist around in a political debate you know they were brainwashed and the conversation is over. Which is good i do not see much of here.

If hillary can have the election rigged against bernie in the primaries do you think the system will not allow her to cheat the true evil dictator trump. But then i have no idea what might happen.

The brexit vote here has eerie similarities to Donald trump. It targeted the prejudices of the uneducated and people who felt left behind and completely swept the facts under the rug and people said 'no way will that happen'. Well guess what it did and racism has exploded and homophobia is on the rise and if it can happen here it can happen there although I really hope for the sake of the whole world it doesn't.

It is very similar to Brexit in a lot of ways...and it is basically a campaign attracting angry white people who think that they represent "the REAL America".....

All of the people who are unaware of their own racism and xenophobia and homophobia and misogyny and the role bias that comes with it..or maybe they are aware....they are easy to manipulate.

The lowest common denominators...and a lot of fear...not a good combination....

People keep telling my I'm too cynical but I keep finding out that I'm not cynical enough!

I looked at your age but didn't explain it; you might be the exception.

I can't wrap my head around that perspective. I mean I have my suspicions and my presumptions, but I'm working on not being so negative in my thoughts about certain groups of people. Maybe you can give some insight.

It's very simple: if I'm going be petrified of my elected leaders then I may as well go ahead and settle in some two-bit third world country and be done with it.

I suppose I'm still willing to live with the consequences.

These people who claim to be voting their conscience are just straight-up assholes who probably don't know any better. I didn't make the rules but I'm certainly not going to pretend I'm above them.

What if he were a Zoltan Istvan fan? I mean that guy isn't going to win, in fact I'd say without Googling most everyone wouldn't know who he is or what party he's with....
