Trump or Hillary as President, who else is petrified?
You know, it's the funniest thing, I never would have guessed Beaux was antisemitic, and you know what? There's probably a lot of people out there in the deep blue "safe states" that you would never guess are going to vote for Trump.
There not bad people, I know plenty of people who openly support Trump, usually it's because they're convinced Trump is the lesser evil, or they believe in the conspiracy theories behind Clinton, or they have pet issues like guns or small government, but mostly, they want to crash the system.
After Hillary's lead in the polls plummeted, you may think she still has it in the bag with the small lead she still has, but whether Trump has a 30% chance of winning, or a 10% chance, it's still a very dangerous game of Russian Roulette.
Trump supporters usually claim this is only because of the stigma, that they are afraid of being accused of racism or stupidity, and that the truth will come out in the voting booth, where they're anonymous. There is a stigma, of course. A call from a telephone pollster might sound anonymous enough to not fear being judged, but due to wonders of human psychology, it really isn't. See the Bradley Effect.
A vote for Jill Stein will accomplish nothing. Maybe her or Johnson had a chance earlier, after all, at one point Johnson was polling at 12% and he needed 15% to be allowed in the debates, but Johnson plummeted in the polls, and Trump jumped up. No third party will win at this point in the election. If Hillary wins, she won't enact more liberal policies because of green party votes because she still won in spite of them. If Hillary loses, then enjoy the Trump presidency, because Stein will be more vilified than Nader was in 2000, and 4 years is a long time. Even if you impeach Trump, you'll only be stuck with Pence.
Even if your area is going to vote Hillary in the electoral, she needs to beat Trump in both the electoral and the popular vote to send the message that America rejects Trump.
I'd love to see universal health care in the USA, but my vote for Hillary is a compromise I have to make.
There are so many reasons, be it saving us and future generations from paying off the national debt, which under Trump would skyrocket thanks to his tax cuts to the rich, while as economists predict Hillary's plan would curb it at least half a trillion; or preventing millions of undocumented immigrants from mass deportation; or preventing a ban on Muslim immigration, which goes against our country's most sacred values of freedom of religion; or the very fate of the planet from the crisis of climate change, Hillary may condone fracking, but Trump has stated global warming is a hoax, and will rip up the Paris Agreement on day one.
A vote for Jill Stein is a vote for Trump. If you want to vote third party because you are idealistic or hate Hillary, go ahead, but be prepared for 4 years of "I told you so" if Trump wins.

I have a feeling that the same shit that has made this election process so rotten and anxiety ridden will continue no matter who gets elected. But yeah, lets leave that for another thread, for another day. I did my part, now its just the wait for polls to close.

But after all the mumbling and grumbling this country has gone though about the two major parties putting up less than ideal presidential candidates and a broken system- I expect to see some third party representation in Congress, people. If we really do want to see a serious third party president in future elections, I hope that all those people are paving the road for them today.

A vote for third party opens up a possible contender next time. At this moment the ship is sinking and is highly likely too regardless of captain Dem or Capt Rep.

Each time the US citizens find something they want, they cry for it, the government steps in and tries to oblige. It borrows money, it provides a helping hand in healthcare, it provides global defense for allies, it provides new jobs by opening up government positions who's only contribution is enforcing the governments laws or collecting a new tax, it then must borrow to pay those people. It will provide food for those that cant/dont work, free college education or a helping hand to those that choose not to work, it will provide provide provide, borrow borrow borrow.

Not saying the things its trying to provide are bad or good, BUT mommy and daddy cant be trusted with the checkbook anymore. If they keep borrowing to provide things we want rather than need they will loose the house, the land and the cat. Maybe we can get adopted by some country in Europe when we start lining our houses with money for insulation like Germany at the end of WW2 but considering how most other family's are non too fond of mommy and daddy well...

In short, a vote for dem or rep is a vote for the same thing. Something needs to change otherwise as funny as gloating about a trump "I told you soo" would be, no one will be laughing when our currency is useless and we cant buy bread, we got over 10 trillion in debt as a country (private and government) in the last 8 years, doubling it. think how many more times our debt can double before we cant pay the taxes on it. Think what will happen when we cant borrow anymore.

Now you can vote for Hillary because she promises you a safe space and nice things so maybe you can have your own room and line it with said nice things as the whole ship goes down. It is merely a temporary reprieve.

This two party system is a trap and the more unhappy people are the more screaming will come from both sides as the hard right and hard left jerk their party around. Both sides had better people than Trump and Hillary, it was the loudest and most polarized individuals who made these choices. I dont think this is the last Trump and Hillary election but its definitely the first and I dont want to be in this type of election every 4 years.

MAYBE this will be a wake up call, Republicans are scared, Democrats are scared, the world is scared. Something must change and hopefully soon!

In the USA Trumpy will be out of his depth and won't have a clue what to do if he won. 100% he'll go back on his word on his word. Plus isn't strange his comments on LGBT and disabled people etc is the same things Putin is saying in Russia? Thought you yanks hate the Russians?? Why are you agreeing with their policies,
