Trump or Hillary as President, who else is petrified?
NativeSon Wrote:No. And I think I've made that abundantly clear. How'd you draw that conclusion?

I drew it when I made a statement about how adding additional third parties was beneficial as it gives us more choices. And pointed out that doing the same thing repeatedly expecting different results is probably not going to change things.
You made a statement saying the logic was flawed
when asked what part was flawed you gave the tea party as an example and stated how powerful they were compared to any other.

so im not sure what your question is to have a discussion with you.
Perhaps it would help if you started with "In your opinion do you think ...?". I apologize ahead of time if this inconveniences you but im really sleepy and have not been able to sleep my mind is pretty dead at the moment I agree with you that the tea party is way stronger than any other minor party but I fail to connect that to any reason as to why you think making other third parties more prevalent is crazy.

All I said was the third parties aren't immune to that very same logic. Go to sleep. Sweet dreams.

I'll be here tomorrow if you want to continue yelling at me.

Anyway talk to you later.

C'mon guys, you are both really good thinkers and seem to be really smart. Why not work for clarification instead of scrapping? I really appreciate input from both of you and would hate to lose it.

Third parties adding breadth to our political discourse could be a really good thing. If we could just get some of the big money out of the process it might even happen.
I bid NO Trump!

Should've gone with Bernie Sanders. Hillary's is a pay to play crook. Trump is crazy.

I would leave Europe out of the equation. You can't really compare Parliamentary systems with Presidential ones, especially given how the Executive gets power in the first and the forceful multi-party nature due to proportional representation.

google and ye shall find...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_...y_movement

Quote:The Tea Party movement is an American political movement that advocates strict adherence to the United States Constitution,[1] reducing U.S. government spending and taxes,[2][3] and reduction of the U.S. national debt and federal budget deficit.[2]
In the 2010 midterm elections, The New York Times identified 138 candidates for Congress with significant Tea Party support, and reported that all of them were running as Republicans. According to a calculation on an NBC blog, of the candidates that were backed by a Tea Party group, or identified themselves as a Tea Party member, 50% were elected to the Senate and 31% to the House. In addition, research by economists Andreas Madestam of Stockholm University, Daniel Shoag and David Yanagizawa-Drott of Harvard University, and Stan Veuger of the American Enterprise Institute estimated that the Tea Party movement protests generated 2.7–5.5 million additional votes nationwide for the Republican Party in the 2010 House elections.[4]

And that was with the IRS investigating and delaying multiple groups from organizing (probably still going on today.)

I never said that. By your interpretation, there would be no difference in saying "Gay people dominate the fashion industry."
Does NOT equal: Yeah, fucking queers! right, Bro?

You sir are making assumptions.
