Things are going great ..
#1
Holy fuck you guys, It's been more than a month since the last time I have been here and SO MUCH happened.
After I had that epiphany about my family, I worked on it. I cut them from my life (Not literally, but I technically just don't talk to any of them or see them for that matter or even think of them.)
Having done that, Things just shifted from bad to not just good but GREAT and everyday life was getting better and better and I got happier and happier everyday. I started to love my life, have many friends, be social again. I actually managed to get a job as a teacher's assistant right after school hours and now I work and study.
Not only that, I also was chosen by the French Embassy to represent my school and go to Beirut, Lebanon at the end of March for an improv. contest in French, because I was the best among the students in my major which is European Languages (French and English).

You have no idea how proud I am of myself and I am just speechless when I start to describe what I am capable of doing when I made the right choices. Now, I am just very excited for life and looking forward to what it yet still has to offer!! Big Grin

it's good to hear you're doing great. i think i missed the parts about your family, but i agree, you sometimes have to cut your losses.

good luck on the contest!

So happy for you!!!!!! I know when I cut my family out I made a clear path forward for myself. They were toxic...and just because they brought me into this world doesn't mean they can use me as a garbage can...enough is enough. I am so glad you got to experience the freedom..not many people have the guts to do it ((()))

You SHOULD be proud of yourself. Keep it up as you are, and you're on your way to a great life that you're making for yourself.

Congratulations Smile

Happy to hear things are going well for you Very Smile. Your family were weighing you down from what you said before, so I am glad that you are doing so much better without them now. Sometimes, family isn't everything, and if they were holding you back and dragging you down, you definitely made the right choice. Glad things are looking up Smile

I guess its a drastic choice to break from your family but after reading yours and East's posts about the subject it is the only choice for many people to get that happy life they deserve - I hope you go on to bigger and better things buddy Smile
