Traffic lights change for Pride

The traffic lights in London's Trafalgar Square have been changed for Pride that goes to show that our society is changing and people in general are becoming more liberal and more accepting of LGBT:

I guess I understand the idea behind it, but I find it rather unnecessary. A few colors do not symbolize me or who I am.
