I am 29 years old and have had the urge to be with a guy for a while now. I've looked quite a bit but have been very nervous and unable to pull the trigger on going over to see someone.

I'm hoping to find some help in here regarding the matter and how you went about it?

Hi Dallas, welcome. You don't mention if you are gay or bisexual. Have you had relationships with girls?
Are you nervous for fear of rejection or something else? If you know the other guy is definitely gay, just start up a conversation like you would with anyone. Don't see them as potential bfs or sex partners, just see them as possible friends or someone to chat with at the moment.

Welcome to the forum.

We'd all like to help you out but you're going to have to help us help you.... You've left out a lot of personal history here so we really don't know what you're feeling (either in terms of desire or fear or whatever is holding you back). I know, writing this out in a forum may be something you've never done before... but think of it as a kind of exercise in learning about yourself. You're caught in some sort of dilemma... you want something but are afraid to let yourself have it. Totally understandable. Ok... we'd like to help but we need to understand you and your concerns better... It would probably help YOU to understand these things about yourself better too. So, please, don't just clam up and go away. Come back and tell us more about yourself and what's going on in side your head.

As for myself, I started very young so I never had this specific issue. That said, I've always been shy around initiating things with other guys. Sometimes you just have to loosen up. Swallow some "Red Monkey" and just put yourself out there. SAFELY of course!!! Don't just go over to some stranger's house... get to know them a bit first. Anyway.... all that can be talked about here if you'll just come back and give us more info about what's going on with you, what you want, what you're fearful of, etc.
