Wow Neo I'm glad you're ok.

Sounds like you got something out of this incident as well. Just be careful you don't become an adrenaline junkie now, start base jumping and stuff.

I dunno man I think you ought to at least find out why. Perhaps they thought you were in hospital and uncontactable. Or maybe they just felt super awkward and freaked about the whole situation, not knowing how to respond.

Either way it'll just stick in your craw until you get an explanation.

Wow, what a terrifying experience that must of been! Glad you're ok, and sorry to hear your parents reacted in that way. It's amazing how a near death experience can give you a sense of perspective on life.

Very glad to hear you're alive verysimple! These kinds of near-death experiences can really affect our view of life and, like you say, give us a new perspective on what's of value.

I don't know what to say about the friends that haven't replied to you. Maybe they don't care as much as you want them to. Maybe they're busy with their own lives. Maybe they haven't seen the texts? (Personally, I don't think texting should be used to try and communicate anything of importance. Make a phone call or an email.)

As for your family, I think your assessment is correct. They lack communication skills and emotional development. I know it is difficult not to obsess about them -- my family was very much like that as well -- we want to have a good relationship with them, to have their love and respect. Unfortunately, some of us don't get the families we want. We have the life-challenge of learning to live with the families we have. That or we have to learn to live without them.

But you're right. All of us tend to get emotionally caught up in things that are of little importance. Keep that thought! Wink

Hi, I don't know you but glad your alright though fella.

I had a car accident a few years back and I was actually surprised how one of mates who I thought was losing interest in turned up and helped me out. Strange how life threatening situations change how you look at people. With my mate, we're like brothers now don't go out as much as did years ago but if something happens we will be both at each others side. Can't say that much about my family though sadly.

So glad to hear you lived to tell the tale.

Ah, sir, we've discussed toxic families before. But you don't have to endure that for much longer.

Keep this perspective going and set your priorities. Live a happy and responsible life dude.

And don't scare us like this again eh?

Hope you will be able to take a little walk and see things around you in a new and happy way.

PS: Save those headphones for when you are not walking on busy streets!

hahahah, everyone told me to not wear headphones on busy streets. Yeah thanks, I will!

Wait, why learn to live with the family you have or live without them? Why have to struggle and stay around them or consider yourself to be without a family if you were away?
I always say family doesn't have to be blood. The definition of family is a bunch of people who are there for you through bad times and good times... They're the people who help you and give you what you need without having to ask them to.. That's a family regardless of your blood line...

I know my family loves me they just don't know how to show it. They have a hard time communicating their feelings and often times they're delivery is sometimes mistaken for something negative when really they just mean to be caring and loving.
