Report it as an unforseen household disaster with total loss at the Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo. I'd probably get a decent monetary government help for a year or so, which I would use to rent some place. I'd have to get a matress, a pair of sheets and a cover, a stove and a fridge, I'll put those on my credit card, using the ever present online purchase discounts. Fridge would probably bee the most expensive bit, the rest, I can definitely find chep stuff.
In the meantime start a savings account so I can save a bit of my wage to get some more items I'd need but most importantly to purchase a another house. He's not British or Flemish enough to be a poppy, but he has an air of elegance that is very poppy-like.
I would keep him well fed, well bathed, well dressed and presentable. I'd give him little treats here and there to keep him content. And then I'd plant him in the front yard for everyone to see. WWYDI you were taking about 10 minutoes to type this whole thing right here?
