What was the best phone you have ever owned?
#11
Samsung D500.
Slide phone.
I had dropped it to the ground so many times that I had lost count. And it still worked.
Took the battery 10 years or more to get less battery life. Used to be many days, but one day it became 24 hours. 24 hours is a lot for smartphones apparently, but they use the battery more I guess.
Not gonna buy a Samsung smartphone when I do buy a smartphone. I'll probably buy a Huawei. Probably the P9. If you say P9 in norwegian, it'll almost sound like Penis. 9 = ni here.

Yeah, it doesn't have the best battery life, especially with heavy usage. I find I charge mine once a day. I find it holds it's charge better when I charge it with a normal charger, and not the "fast charger". I don't think using those does the battery any good.

I just get a new Galaxy when my upgrade is due every 2 years. So, it'll probably be the S8 when that happens.

To be difficult (it's me after all) I have to say it was a iPod touch.

Explanation: So I'd gone for years buying quirky, less well known phones as I didn't like to be 'mainstream'. Same with MP3 players. I thought people with iPhones were sheep.

One day I went to work a little forlorn because my MP3 player broke so I had no music player for my walk home. I told my friend at work who said they had a brand new iPod touch they didn't want that I could have. FOR FREE. I tried to give them money for it but they'd gotten it free with a Mac Book and they insisted I had it.

Literally I started using it and fell in love. It was the first touch screen that seemed to actually work fluidly and it did everything the iPhone did, just without the texts/calls. As soon as I could upgrade I got an iPhone and I've been an Apple whore ever since.

I've had top end iMacs in the pasted and sold the lot as I couldn't upgrade any of the parts and I didn't see in the cost effectiveness of that. IPhone look good but again you can't expand the memory and the contracts too are way to expensive for the tech you get so again not cost effective at the end of the day. I still love my it's iPod 60G classic though.

I just bought mine outright with max memory so didn't have to worry about being done over on the contract and I have more than enough memory for everything I have.

Bill Gates once said that no one would ever need more than 640K of RAM...

Turns out I need 48 GB...maybe 64 GB lol

While we're at it...

My first smartphone was an iPhone 4s. Even though I now use a 6s for work, my old phone is still going just fine off of WiFi. It is surprisingly durable. If I ever changed jobs and had to get a personal phone, I would probably go with LG.

Amanda Bearse who played on Married With Children lives about 2 miles down the road from me...Or did...I don't go knocking on celebrity's doors asking for their autograph lol

I fell over once and he helped me up.

I've meet a few celebs through the charity work I've done and most seem to be okay people.
