It is hard to find a really tasty watermelon these days...

It's a bit of both.

Come to Europe. I'll show you European climate. Smile

IanSaysHi, a chef! You are a man of hidden talents indeed.
Food 'll teach you a thing or two. That is for sure.

As for bacon, I like it crisp if it is thin but also right off the pan. Thick cut bacon I dont mind a bit chewy, but crisp on the edges. Particular SOB, I am.

I hate boiled vegetables. I like them raw or roasted. Hate the texture and taste of boiled vegetables.

Celery tastes like sellotape. I love it.

Bananas, when ripe, taste like nail varnish. Love them.

I love red grapes if the texture is right. I love small grapes that burst in your mouth. Otherwise, I am afraid of them.

Cridders88 Wrote:I love mashed potato, and if it tastes bland to you then you are probably not prepping it right Smile. Plenty of butter and milk and it tastes like heaven Smile. IMO of course. Garlic mash and mustard mash is pretty nice too. But yes, mashed potato can be very bland if you do nothing to it.

good thing im not the only man who thinks mashed potatos are what other people say it is .. as ive read that what theyre saying about it is pretty negative .. but i still love it ..

Cooked celery, I agree. Raw celery, you gotta eat that right off the ground damn it.

I'll cave on liver, not many people find it agreeable. Everyone in my family does though, tis nice with fried onions on the side Smile

And then we come to the most sinful thing you've said so far. Bananas are just heaven. Especially when green. I definitely enjoy the idea of not having competition for my bananas, though. Amongst all the weird tropical imported stuff (you can't grow them here), bananas are the main staple fruit in the lot. Grinding banana and putting it on milk was probably one of the only ways I ever had milk!

At the second place we lived in, this was Villa Alemana, we had vines in the backyard and every summer it was all about stuffing your face with grapes Smile (and getting stung by wasps and bees in the process)

Oh and there was an almond tree too. Hehe. Those were the good days.
